stands for Bukowski and Sondheim, and is also the name of a work in progress at Cal Rep this season. The production is the creation of Joanne Gordon, in which she melds the work of urban poet Charles Bukowski and urbane broadway icon Stephen Sondheim, making something uniquely theatrical (and musical). I will not say more about it, as the program requests it not be reviewed.
I will say that the theater space was onboard the the famed Queen Mary Ship in Long Beach. And it was an illuminating night of theater!
